Special
cooking course
For
your household staff
ECS is organizing
a cooking course especially for your household staff. It
is an opportunity for your maid or cook to improve his/her
cooking skills. At the end of this course, participants
will be able to work as a cook independently and can even
organize a small party. The course content includes theoretical
information on different food items; practical cooking
and it will also make them aware about kitchen hygiene.
We teach them how to prepare Indian, Chinese and continental
items, as well as basic western cooking techniques like
simmer, sauté,
etc. We will also discuss how to organize a kitchen, to
prepare menus, cutting techniques, steps of serving food
during small parties and big parties. We will also teach
them how to keep food and the kitchen hygienically clean.
This course helps them improve their skills, so they will
not only serve you better while you are here, but it will
also be easier for them for them to find a job when you
leave. Duration of course: 6 weeks, five days a week and

Emergency
procedures course
For
household staff
Your family’s safety is a concern for everyone. This
course will teach your staff how to react appropriately
if an accident occurs. What action to take in the event
of an emergency. Accident such as falls, broken bones,
nosebleeds, etc will be discussed. Social emergency such
as house fire, theft, and pet injuries or illness will
be covered, your staff will be taught how to recognize
such events, and what to do in each case. Children’s
illnesses such as insect bites, skin rashes, high fever,
hiccups and crops will be covered. We discuss most common
household accidents and how with a little forethought they
often may be avoided. This course is designed to promote
safety in your home through education and prevention. It
is open to all house staff but specially benefits those
caring for children. Two days course, 1p.m. to 5p.m.

Food
handling and hygiene course
ECS
is organizing food handling and hygiene course for your
household staff. If you are not sure whether your staff
is aware about hygiene then you can enroll them in this
course. This class is based on demonstration and practice
which encourage your staff to use their hygiene and food
handling knowledge practically after this course. This
course includes daily hygiene, importance of hand washing
and preparation of fruits and vegetables. We will teach
them the proper way of cleaning - tables, windows, kitchen
floor and bathroom. We will also teach them how to care
of refrigerator. We will discuss them how illness is spread
and why the corner and behind the door is important to
clean. We hope this course will help your staff to clean
the house properly. Two days course, 1p.m. to 5p.m.

Child
safety and Child Health Course
For household staff
The care and safety of our children is the highest priority
for us all. This course will teach your staff about the
safety of children in your house, how common accidents
can be prevented and what to do in case of an accident
can be prevented and what to do in case of accident. They
are taught basic hygiene, how to keep children clean and
healthy, and which toys are most appropriate for young
children to play with. How to recognize that children are
ill, what should we do when children are sick, how do we
prevent common childhood illness and keep children healthy,
how to recognize common childhood diseases, what is the
meaning of growth in a child and how do we stimulate development?
Most of us probably know the answers to these questions
but does you didi (who looks after your children) know
these answers. This course can be taken by all those staff
who are responsible for our children’s welfare, even
if only occasionally. Two days course, 1p.m. to 5p.m. Venue:

Child
psychology
This
course is helpful for all household staff who deal with
children, but a must for the child-minder (Didi). In this
course our expert trainer will discuss the characteristics
of childhood with the participants, and also the emotional
behaviors of children, such as, why do children get angry
and cry, what kind of games they enjoy most and in which
age, situation etc. It helps your staff to understand children’s
behaviors psychologically better and after this training,
you will find your children better cared for by the Didi.

Nutrition
Education
This
course is prepared for your cook to learn the importance
of nutritious food and a balanced diet. We will explain
to them the sources of protein, carbohydrates, vitamins
and water and why they are important for daily life. The
course will be conducted in Nepali and some technical words
will be in English.
