Pokhara is no mystery land – at least, not for the Nepali for whom the city is an instant pick for an escape. But it is still an enigmatic city. A team member coined Pokhara as the place to go for a ‘no-fuss break’ and rightly so.
This issue of ECS NEPAL is a special issue that takes on the challenging task of framing the grandeur of Pokhara within these pages. The cover story aims to single out the best places to stay, to eat out and the activities you must indulge in while at Pokhara. We also featured the museums of Pokhara, in hopes of delving into the heart of its rich culture and history.

Through our photo series, ‘Pokhara People’, we bring you stories of the daily lives in Pokhara. The section is a collection of the inspiring and interesting personalities that we came across during our trips to the lake city.
As writer Kapil Bisht writes in his feature ‘The Capital of Everything’, Pokhara really has proven to be a city that offers unique tastes that caters to every individual palate.

We hope this issue inspires you to visit Pokhara (again) and re-explore its wondrous and numerous escapes.
